Microwaves
What Type of SHARP Microwave is Right for You?
SHARP Microwave Drawers: These types of microwaves are installed into kitchen cabinets or below countertops, or on an optional pedestal, providing a sleek and integrated look in the kitchen. Microwave drawers feature a pull-out drawer design that allows for easier access to the food inside. People who choose microwave drawers are typically looking for either a modern look, to save counter space, or for an accessible option. Some microwave drawer models also use convection elements that can also air fry, toast and grill. Microwave drawers do not have Carousel turntables because the magnetrons are located on the top of the appliance, instead of on the sides like on a countertop or over-the-range microwave oven.
SHARP Carousel Microwaves: A carousel microwave is any microwave that has a rotating glass turntable inside. SHARP’s carousel microwaves ensure even cooking by rotating the food while it’s cooking, preventing hot spots by providing uniform heating. Many modern microwaves use a turntable system to distribute heat more evenly. SHARP produces two types of Carousel Microwaves; Countertop and Over-the-Range.
SHARP Countertop Microwaves: Countertop microwaves sit on the kitchen counter or any flat surface. They come in various sizes and power levels, making them suitable for a range of cooking and reheating needs. Countertop microwaves are the most common type and are generally easy to install and move. Cooking can be completed by microwaves, convection elements or both as a speed oven.
SHARP Over-The-Range Microwaves: Over-the-range or OTR microwaves are installed above a cooktop or range, typically functioning as both a microwave and a range hood. Over-the-range microwaves help save counter space and offer ventilation capabilities, making them a popular choice for compact kitchens.
